The Village Blog

Trading on some of the opportunities in having a Village Website, I have had a number of suggestions on topics that might involve participation from villagers that others can see on the website.  I think the technical term is “Blog”!

The two that seem particular interesting are referrals to trustworthy traders eg Plumbers, Electricians etc, and where is the best service from Internet Service providers (ISP’s)/Mobile phones.  I choose these two because the common thread seems to be our view of the quality of service they provide to Melchbourne specifically.

So – I’ve researched how to mount and run a Blog and this is my prototype!!  Please bear with it as my skills develop and, as ever, I truly welcome comments, criticism (and encouragement!!)

It seems sensible just to start on one subject first so let’s pick Mobile Phones.  Can we pool experience as to which networks provide the best coverage for ALL OF THE VILLAGE? As a starter for ten I know that Vodaphone has a complete blackspot in the dip around the village hall.  I am told there are also real blackspots with Orange.  Let’s please hear your comments.

When joining the Blog on this particular subject I would be interested in your view on any other subjects of common interest that we might focus on.  Also – if there is any blog-expertise out there, I’m keen for a teach-in!!
